Veterinary Assistant
Hi, my name is Madison, and I wear a few hats at Advanced Veterinary Care of Vestavia — Veterinary Assistant, Kennel Tech, and Receptionist. I love every part of this role because it keeps me connected to both the animals in our care and the people who love them. At home I have my American Bully Koko, my absolute pride and joy who loves car rides, dressing up, and spending time together, and a Leopard Gecko named Mika who is quiet, mysterious, and happiest when she is hiding in her favourite spot.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work I enjoy drawing, doing makeup, and pet sitting and babysitting whenever I get the chance. Caring for animals and people is very much a 24/7 thing for me.
Favorite Part of My Job
Seeing familiar faces — both the two-legged and four-legged kind — is the best part of my day. I love reconnecting with our regulars and making new clients feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door.
Why I Chose This Profession
I have loved animals for as long as I can remember, and the idea of being a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves has always resonated deeply with me. Being able to form real bonds with animals and their owners every day makes this work feel less like a job and more like a calling.
Education
I graduated from Gardendale High School in 2024 and went on to enrol at Jefferson State Community College, where I am building the foundation for my career in veterinary medicine.
